INTRODUCTION
Our mission in Christian Formation aims to help the faithful of all ages to grow in both human and Christian maturity by enriching their whole life with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to embrace all the faith dimensions of adult life—for example, understanding and communicating faith, skills needed for personal growth, the experience of family life, relationships, public service, and concern for the common good.
St. Luke's hopes to engage the particular needs and interests of adults in our community by offering a comprehensive and systematic presentation and exploration of the core elements of Christian Catholic faith and practice.
This integration of actual life experience, diverse adult learning needs, the study of Scripture, and the teaching of the Church's tradition help us to create a vibrant learning environment.
As always, we are open to suggestions about offerings and other programming. Please send your comments to us using the Contact Us page

Stewardship: God is Faithful! We believe that stewardship is about more than finances - it is a quality of our discipleship. As stewards of the mission and ministry of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, we are all entrusted with the work needed to nurture and build on the legacy of our community, so that future generations may benefit from our rich religious heritage. This work is only made possible through giving of our time, our talents, and our financial resources.
The God is Faithful! Annual Membership Campaign 2021-2022 seeks to provide the resources necessary to continue meeting several challenges that lie ahead as we emerge from the difficulties we encountered in the COVID-19 pandemic:

Becoming Beloved Community (10 Week Course)
May 24 2022 - Aug 02 2022
Tuesday evenings: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Using the framework of the Episcopal Church’s “Becoming Beloved Community” this course on antiracism will lead participants through four pillars rooted in the Baptismal Covenant: Telling the Truth about the Church and Race; Proclaiming the Dream of Beloved Community; Practicing the Way of Love; Repairing the Breach in our Churches; and Repairing the Breach in Society and Institutions. The course is designed to provide future and current leaders of the church with the knowledge and background to combat the sin of racism as an integral component of our Christian formation, particularly focusing on dismantling systemic racism within and outside of the institution of the Church. This course defines racism as the combination of racial prejudice, racial discrimination, and power and not the bad acts of misguided individuals. The Beloved Community is defined as one that seeks and promotes justice for the least among us.
This 10-week course will be an online Zoom meeting, hosted on Tuesday evenings, 7-8:00pm. The class will begin on Tuesday, May 24th and end on August 2nd.
The instructors will be the Rev. Kevin Barron and Dr. Marion Schwartz.

Bias And Allyship Workshop
Saturday, May 14, 2022 9:30 AM - 12 Noon
One of the most common deterrents to antiracism and community healing work is our fear of causing more harm. How do we speak challenging truths to each other in love? How do we wrestle with our own bias and harmful ideas or internalized racism so that we can do the work of advocacy and education? Together we will explore some of the most current and helpful best practice tools to identify and heal bias and prejudice we may have learned. We will explore empathy as a learned skill and discover ways to build bridges of connection with those who come from cultures very different from our own.
Cost: $20 (fee will be paid by St. Luke's)
