This course is designed to introduce newcomers to the Episcopal Church using the framework of "The Way of Love" — a set of seven spiritual practices designed to help individuals follow Jesus and grow in faith. The course can be structured as an 8-week series, with each session focusing on one practice, culminating in a session of reflection and integration
By the end of the course, participants will should have a foundational understanding of the Episcopal faith and a personal rule of life shaped by The Way of Love, equipping them to continue growing as disciples of Jesus in community and daily living

Our course met over a series of weeks in the Fellowship Hall of St. Luke's Parish Hall .

Session 1: Introduction to the Episcopal Church & The Way of Love
This session hopes to provide an overview of The Episcopal Church: its history, beliefs, and worship style. We will also introduce "The Way of Love" as a rule of life and spiritual path. The seven spiritual practices: Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go, Rest set intentions for the journey.

SESSION 2: TURN – Pause, Listen, and Choose to Follow Jesus
In this session, we explore what it means to "turn" toward Jesus in daily life? We will explore practices for self-examination and repentance and share stories about turning points in faith journeys. Because the Christian walk is best done in community, participants area sked to explore who might be a companion for them to walk with then as they make the turn toward Christ?

SESSION 3: LEARN - Reflect on Scripture, Especially Jesus’ Teachings
In session 3, we examine various approaches to reading and reflecting on Scripture, discover how best to explore the life and teachings of Jesus and introduce resources for Bible study.

SESSION 4: pray - Dwell Intentionally with God Each Day
In session 4, we explore how to equip new members to understand the meaning of prayer, explore its various forms, develop a sustainable daily prayer practice, and foster openness in sharing experiences and challenges in prayer life.

session 5: WORSHIP - Gather in Community to Thank, Praise, and Dwell with God
In session 5, we seek to understand the importance of communal worship in Episcopal tradition, gain an overview of liturgy and sacraments, and learn about participation in Sunday worship and special services.

session 6: Bless - Share Faith, Give, and Serve Others
In session 6, we seek to bring participants into an understanding of blessing as giving and serving, practical ways to bless others daily, and introduce them to parish ministries and outreach opportunities.

session 7: Go - Cross Boundaries, Listen Deeply, and Live Like Jesus
In session 7, we week to step beyond our comfort zones in service and witness, listen deeply to others, and discern where God is calling them to serve, following the example of Jesus.

session 8: Rest - Receive God’s Grace, Peace, and Restoration
In session 8, we introduce participants to the spiritual, emotional, and physical importance of Sabbath rest, self-care, and integrating all seven spiritual practices into daily life
